Scales of Gratitude

Though gratitude is a key indicator to one’s wellness, it could be unhealthy sometimes. To my own observation, gratitude has five different stages: not grateful, not very grateful, grateful, very grateful,-too grateful. The extremes at the top and bottom of the scale is threatening and could lead to loss. When you’re too grateful to what you have, you could lose it out of your control and guardianship. When you’re not grateful, you could also lose it out of your lack of care and interest. When you’re in the middle of the scale, you’re conscious of what you have yet ambitious for more!
